Technical Standards on Written Assignments

The Faculty of Education underlines the impotence of learning and the state of being well informed of formal academic writing. That is why written assignment is an essential component of the studies.

There are different technical standards on written assignment. At PFI, the standards are as follows:

1.    Written assignment should be prepared due to the next norms: spacing 1.5, front size 12 point, left and right margins set at 2.5. The pages should be enumerated. In content list, page numbers should be given beneath the different sub-headlines. The amount of pages does not include front page, content list, bibliography, and appendix.
2.    Written assignment should be printed double sided.
3.    Each paragraph must be marked by leaving out a line.
4.    Titles should be made from the left margin. When the titles are organized in subtitles, there must not be three and more levels. The ranking should be presented by using capital and minuscule letters.
5.    Spacing between each paragraph and a new title must be treble and spacing between heading and a new paragraph dual.
6.    References should be presented in parenthesis and not in footnotes. A special reference is produced with the writer’s name, the year of publication and number of pages when it is necessary.
7.    You enable to quote, until five lines can be presented in the text. All citations produced in the work must be represented in citation marks. Long quotations must be given in a separated paragraph, single spacing and indented. The opening paragraph after inserting citation should begin in left margin.
