Written assignments vs. Oral assignments

There exist two types of the academic assignments: written and oral. The students face both of them from time to time during their academic lives.

Some students prefer the written assignments to the oral, while others consider the oral assignments to be better than the written. We decided to compare both types of the academic assignments for you to see that they are even, and you should treat them equally. Let us present our table of comparison:

  1. The written assignments require more time to be prepared, since writing is a time taking process, even if you do not have to spend a lot of time on looking for the material to ground your paper. However, the oral assignments also require a lot f time t be prepared. You have to learn by heart a lot of info. Sometimes you also have to jot down some plan or draft of your speech. So, the written and the oral take the same amount of time to be prepared.
  2. The oral assignments are more difficult for those students who are afraid to speak to the audience. However, your supervisor may ask you to read your essay or other paper aloud against all of your mates.
  3. You may make some grammar ort spelling or other mistakes within your paper, and therefore your grade will be lower. However, you can forget to something important while speaking and it will make your grade lower, as well.

There is a difference between the oral and written assignments, but only at the first sight. If you analyze them deeper, you will understand that all the academic assignments are almost the same. Even the structure of the paper and of the student’s speech does not differ a lot. Both of them have an introduction, a matter, and a conclusion.
